Today and the next week or so, the 3rd grade classes are watching me take apart a chicken. Not to make soup, but to see how the muscles, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage all work together. Mrs. Brown's class was the first to experience this today! They did a great job. Here are some of the comments that I heard.
"It was awesome and at the sametime gross" - Miles "This was disgusting and really cool!" - Parker "I thought digging inside the bones was really cool." - Sam and from someone in the peanut gallery, "I will never look at chicken the same way again!"
